Self-Defense!

For our physical strength day, we taught the girls self-defense! We started with “mat chats,” where we sat down and talked about self-confidence, resilience, and being safe. Then, the girls practiced some self-defense techniques, like breaking grips, falling while protecting their heads, and blocking an attacker’s strike. As one of the girls put it, “I liked learning the self-defense because I feel like I can do anything!”
